Do you really know how to properly make a phone call to a lady that you're interested in spending some time with whom you've never had any contact with?
I know you guys are thinking, "of course I do".
Well, I think I need to explain proper phone etiquette because I get a lot of calls that go kinda like this.....
(PC = Prospective Companion)
Me: "Hello"
PC: "Hey, I saw your ad & was wondering if you're available this afternoon?"
Me: "Who am I speaking to?"
PC: "Oh, John"
Me: "Where did you happen to see my ad?"
PC: "On the internet"
Me: thinking "No shit Sherlock" but saying "What site did you see it on?"
PC: "Ah, CityVibe or TER"
Me: "Did you get to visit my website?"
PC: "Yeah, I like your pictures"
Me: "Thanks, Hey did you happen to see the contact page?"
PC: "Yeah, that's where I got your phone #" "Oh, & what's your rate?"
Me: "My rates are clearly listed on my website that you visited & I do require a reviewed provider reference
PC: "Yeah, but I'm on TER"
Me: "I understand John, have you done any reviews on TER?"
PC: "No, I don't write reviews"
Me: "Well, who else have you seen?"
At this point I may or may not get an answer to that question & things may or may not work out for the 2 of us. The conversation above doesn't have a good feeling to it for either person. I feel like I'm "grilling" this guy that wants to spend time with me & he's probably thinking "Geez, all this just to find out if she's available within the next hour"
"Forget this bitch" "Next"
OK, so this is how to make that 1st call a success
Me: "Hello"
PC: "Hi, My name is John & I saw your ad on TER" "I'd like to spend some time with you."
Me: "Hi John, thanks for calling, did you visit my website as well?"
PC: "Yeah I did, I like your pictures"
Me: "Thanks, so when were you thinking you might want to get together?"
PC: "Well, I'd like to see you right now but I know that isn't possible since you don't know me yet." "I'll be happy to give you the name of a lady I recently spent some time with."
At this point, I will get the info I need & do MY HOMEWORK (as quickly as possible) & I'll be able to call or email John to set up our rendezvous.
As you can see, many times that 1st meeting with a lady cannot take place within the next hour.
Believe me when I say that even if you have to wait until the next day, you will be happy that you made this connection happen. You may even find a lady that you want to visit on a somewhat regular basis. Just think, now you can call her & ask if she can see you in 45 minutes & hear a response like "Hey Sexy, can you get here any sooner, I can't wait"
I often wonder how many "PC's" I've lost & how many good times were not to be had by all, just because of that 1st phone call?
